Increased Water Supply for Pemba Island

President Ali Mohamed Shein has actually applauded the Isles Ministry of 'Land, Housing, Water and Energy' for the good work of making sure increased supply of water to individuals of Zanzibar Islands.

He stated the funds included "a loan from African Development Bank (AfDB)," with support from UN-Habitant. He thanked the partners for the support. Dr Shein stated the roads were fixed to enable them to serve the people longer.

In his opening speech at Ukunjwi Village in Pemba about the new roadways in Wete-Gando and Wete-Konde, Dr Shein alerted that absence of road's maintenance decreased their life.

He stated the government was committed to improve all roads, consisting of Ole-Kengeja (35km) Road formerly prepared by the very first president of Zanzibar, the late Abeid Amani Karume and the Chakechake-Wete Road(22.1 km).

Dr Shein thanked Saud Fund (Saud Arabia) and BADEA(Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa)for their support.
